District Nurses & Community Matron

If you are unable to attend the surgery for nursing care, the doctor may request the District Nurse or Community Matron to visit you at home.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitors run a baby and child health clinic at Knowle Clinic.  To make an appointment telephone 0117 9190200. They advise on all aspects of child development and health issues up to the age of 5. You can contact them directly by telephone on the above telephone number.

Pregnancy Care

When you are pregnant you will receive regular care from your usual doctor and midwife before and after your baby is born.

Wild Walks for Wellbeing Group

Walk and Talk?

  • Walk and Talk is a weekly service set up around Bristol. This offers an opportunity for people to meet in a group, take a leisurely stroll around a local park and connect with others.
  • We hold two 1 hour circular walks every Wednesday from 10am – 11am and 11.30am – 12.30pm around Bristol with the exception of the Christmas Holidays. Walks are accessible to all mobility levels and there are staff and volunteers available to walk at different paces.

Low Cost Exercise

Currently the Park Centre on Daventry Road is the best option for joining a gym, its £15 a monthly or £3.50 a session.

They are restarting staying steady classes at the Park from January which cost £3.50.

NHS Talking Therapies Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire works in partnership with the NHS to offer a range of short-term Talking Therapies known as IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) to adults 16-years and over, who live and are registered with a GP in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
