Training practice
As part of our commitment to the NHS and our registration as a training Practice please note that we not only have GP Registrars in post we also be have Year 1 Medical Students.
The Year 1 Medical Students will be here to observe only and will be spending time with each of the various teams during their time with us.
We hope that you will help us support them in their training.
GP net earnings
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice. The required disclosure is shown below.
- The average pay for GP’s working in Lockstown Practice in the last financial year 24/2025 was £167,641 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 2 full time GP’s.
However, it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earning is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used to form any judgment about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
