Ordering repeat prescriptions

Order your repeat prescription online
  • Order via Klinik – choose the “Medication Queries” tile and then “Prescription Request”
  • Order via the NHS APP
  • Requests can be in writing or by repeat slip
  • You can order prescriptions via email:

  • Order online via the link at the top of this page if you use Systmonline (you will need to register for this service)

Requests cannot be taken over the telephone.

Please allow 72 working hours for a repeat prescription. Please note that if you order early before medication is due then this may not be issued. 

When will by prescription be issued?

All prescription requests require 3 working days to process at the surgery (72 working hours). You will need to contact your Pharmacy to see their processing times once they receive the Prescription issued by us.

If there is a bank holiday you need to jump ahead 1 working day.

Please note surgery working days are Monday – Friday – 8.00am – 6.30pm.

NHS Charges

These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.

  • Prescription (per item): £9.90
  • 12-month prepayment certificate (PPC): £114.50
  • 3-month PPC: £32.05

If you will have to pay for 4 or more prescription items in three months or 12  or more items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a prescription prepayment certificate (PPC).

Pharmacy services

Pharmacy First is a scheme which allows people with certain minor ailments and conditions to go straight to their pharmacist to receive a consultation without needing to visit their GP to get a prescription first.

Your Pharmacist is a qualified health care professional who can help with your health problems and will offer you a private space to talk with you about your symptoms.

If it is something more serious, then they will direct you appropriately.  Don’t wait for a doctor’s appointment. Go straight to your pharmacy.
