NHS England has stipulated that networks should \u2018typically\u2019 cover\u00a0a\u00a0population of between 30,000 and 50,000 people (the average practice size is just over 8,000).\u00a0Neighbouring practices enter network contracts in addition to their core GP contract. Groups of practices collaborating as a network will have a\u00a0designated single bank account through which all network funding \u2013 a\u00a0significant proportion of future practice income \u2013 will flow.<\/p>\n<p>North Preston Medical Practice is part of the Greater Preston Network Group (GPNG) and works together with other local surgeries.
