Who do I see?
Routine appointments
At Kennedy Way Surgery, we operate a same-day GP appointment system. Your initial contact with a GP will usually be by telephone consultation. During this consultation, the GP will assess your needs and agree the most appropriate course of treatment. If a face-to-face examination or appointment is required, this will usually be arranged for the same day.
To request a telephone consultation with a GP, please contact the surgery Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) between 8:00am and 6:30pm using one of the following methods:
- Phone us on 01454 313849, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm
- Complete an econsult which can be found on this website
- Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm
- Online appointments can be booked via the NHS App
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
We do not make appointments via email.
Nurse and other Clinician Appointments
Kennedy Way Surgery offers nursing team appointments, appointments with physiotherapists, an advanced muscular skeletal specialist and a paramedic that can deal with a variety of medical and chronic conditions. These appointments can be booked up to a month in advance by:
- Phone us on 01454 313849, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm
- Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm
- Complete an econsult which can be found on this website

Extended Access
The Extended Access Service has more appointments with GPs available, making it easier for you to get an appointment at a time that suits you, including evenings and weekends.
How do I book an appointment?
Contact your GP practice in the usual way to request an appointment. If there are no appointments available at your practice, they may offer you an appointment with the GP Extended Access Service, if this is right for you.
If your practice is closed and you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or Call 111. They may also be able to book an appointment for you with the GP Extended Access Service.
Please note that your consent will be required in order for an appointment to be booked for you.
Home Visits
If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.
To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice before 11am.
