Conditions they can treat as part of Pharmacy First are:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>earache (aged 1 to 17 years)<\/li>\n<li>impetigo (aged 1 year and over)<\/li>\n<li>infected insect bites (aged 1 year and over)<\/li>\n<li>shingles (aged 18 years and over)<\/li>\n<li>sinusitis (aged 12 years and over)<\/li>\n<li>sore throat (aged 5 years and over)<\/li>\n<li>urinary tract infections or UTIs (women aged 16 to 64 years)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you go to a pharmacy with one of these conditions, the pharmacist will offer you advice, treatment or refer you to a GP or other healthcare professional if needed.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Minor Injuries and Ailments<\/h3>\n<p>PHL\u2019s Urgent Treatment Centre (which was the Minor Injuries Unit at Lymington Hospital) will look after patients with a minor injury or a minor illness which is not critical or life threatening. e.g. sprains, broken bones, bites or stings, as well as assessing and treating wounds. The existing team of nurses, healthcare assistants and paramedics will have further support by having a doctor in the unit at all times.
