{"id":508,"date":"2025-07-01T09:36:46","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T08:36:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surgerywebtemp.org.uk\/g81694\/?p=508"},"modified":"2026-07-17T09:37:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-17T08:37:13","slug":"tirzepatide-mounjaro-prescribing-on-the-nhs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/surgerywebtemp.org.uk\/g81694\/tirzepatide-mounjaro-prescribing-on-the-nhs\/","title":{"rendered":"Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) prescribing on the NHS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text-align-center\">As you may have seen in the national press on Monday 23rd June, there are new rules for obesity and four diagnosed health conditions, regarding prescribing Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) within GP Surgeries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-align-left\">Full qualifying criteria is a BMI (Body Mass Index) of 40 or greater and four or more of the following diagnosed health conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"text-align-left\">type 2 diabetes<\/li>\n<li class=\"text-align-left\">Hypertension<\/li>\n<li class=\"text-align-left\">Cardiovascular disease<\/li>\n<li class=\"text-align-left\">Obstructive sleep apnoea<\/li>\n<li class=\"text-align-left\">Dyslipidaemia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"text-align-left\">We will be contacting people who have been identified as eligible over the coming weeks.
