{"id":530,"date":"2026-07-17T11:14:45","date_gmt":"2026-07-17T10:14:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surgerywebtemp.org.uk\/g81694\/?page_id=530"},"modified":"2026-07-17T11:14:45","modified_gmt":"2026-07-17T10:14:45","slug":"useful-health-information","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/surgerywebtemp.org.uk\/g81694\/useful-health-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Useful Health Information"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Pharmacy First Service<\/h3>\n<p>This new service improves access to healthcare by directing patients to the most appropriate healthcare professional, whether that\u2019s a GP or a pharmacist.<\/p>\n<h3>What\u2019s Included?<\/h3>\n<p>Pharmacists can now offer advice, treatment, and supply NHS medicines for these common conditions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Impetigo<\/strong> (Age 1+)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Infected Insect Bites<\/strong> (Age 1+)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sore Throat<\/strong> (Age 5+)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sinusitis<\/strong> (Age 12+)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Earache or Ear Infections<\/strong> (Age 1\u201317)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shingles<\/strong> (Age 18+)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections<\/strong> (Women, Age 16\u201364)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are not within these age ranges, pharmacists can still offer advice but may refer you to a GP if needed.<\/p>\n<p>Under this service, pharmacists are able to offer advice and, if necessary, provide medicine to treat your conditions.
