Sexual Health and Contraception Services

The surgery is registered as a C-Card provider and collection site. QR Codes are available in the window of the surgery, and kits are available in the downstairs patient toilet facility.

C-Card Scheme

The C-Card scheme gives young people aged under 25 access to free condoms, internal condoms and lubricant in Brighton and Hove. Please click here for more information.

Emergency contraception

Emergency contraception can stop you getting pregnant after unprotected sex (sex without contraception or when contraception might have failed). You need to use emergency contraception within 3 to 5 days of having unprotected sex. The sooner you use emergency contraception the more effective it usually is. Sexually Transmitted Infections

Chlamydia is a very common bacterial infection that is sexually transmitted. It can be very easily treated with antibiotics. Please click here for more information

At-home STI tests. Brighton and Hove’s STI (sexually transmitted infection) home testing service is free and confidential. Test kits can be ordered online or collected from the surgery to do at home to check for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis & HIV.
