Preston Barracks – Patient engagement for Allied Medical Practice

You may be aware of the Preston Barracks development project on Lewes Road which is nearing completion. Part of the project has involved transforming the old army barracks into a new medical centre, among other local services for the community. You can find out more about the project on the website: https://studioegretwest.com/places/preston-barracks

The practice is proposing to bring together both School House Surgery and Church Surgery, into a new, purpose-built medical centre at Preston Barracks.

This would involve the permanent closure of the School House Surgery and Church Surgery and patients who attend appointments at these sites would instead access services at the new medical centre located on Lewes Road.

Under this proposal, you would not need to do anything and will remain registered at Allied Medical Practice and continue to see the same staff as you do now.

We recognise that this proposal may cause concern for some patients, especially regarding the change of location. However, we believe that the improved facilities and broader range of services available in a purpose-built premises will be of significant benefit to our patients.
