Prescriptions
Ordering repeat prescriptions
Order your repeat prescription onlineTo access this service you must have a user name and password which are available from the practice – please bring photo ID (e.g. passport/photo driving licence) and separate proof of address (e.g. a utility bill) when you request one.
You will be asked to complete an application form. For access to booking appointments and ordering medication, the receptionist should be able to give you your password and username instantly. If you want to be able to view your actual medical records you will need to leave the form at reception and wait up to two weeks for it to be processed, your details will then be posted to you.
Please note, if you are using the online link you must indicate in the comments box if you would like your prescription to be collected from.
Please allow up to 5 days for your prescription request to be processed and sent to the pharmacy. If a decision is made to not issue the medication it will also be communicated to you within 5 days. Dispensing the medication to you after it is sent to the pharmacy will depend on the pharmacy’s processes.
Do you have a query about the medication you are on?
This might include questions such as:
- how does my medication work?
- are there any long term side effects?
- is my medication safe?
- can I drive on this medication?
- how should I take my medication?
- what if I forget a dose?
Visit the NHS Medicines Website – You can find the answers to all these questions in the NHS Medicines A-Z guide. This guide covers virtually every medicine which we prescribe at the Humbleyard Practice.
Contact your local pharmacy – Your local pharmacists can also answer queries about your medication / prescriptions (see below for the pharmacies local to the Humbleyard Practice)
