{"id":544,"date":"2026-09-28T16:46:50","date_gmt":"2026-09-28T15:46:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surgerywebtemp.org.uk\/b83012\/?p=544"},"modified":"2026-09-28T17:35:58","modified_gmt":"2026-09-28T16:35:58","slug":"flu-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/surgerywebtemp.org.uk\/b83012\/flu-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Flu Season &#8211; Please Book Now"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Seasonal Influenza Vaccination<\/h3>\n<p>The national flu immunisation programme aims to protect people who are at greater risk of becoming seriously unwell from flu.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flu vaccinations are available from 1 September for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>all children aged 2 and 3 (born between 01\/09\/22 and 31\/08\/24)<\/li>\n<li>children in clinical risk groups aged from 6 months to under 18 years<\/li>\n<li>pregnant women.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>From 1 October, vaccinations are also available for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>people aged 65 years and over<\/li>\n<li>people aged 18 to under 65 years in a clinical risk group<\/li>\n<li>people living in long-stay residential care homes<\/li>\n<li>carers<\/li>\n<li>close contacts of immunocompromised individuals<\/li>\n<li>frontline health and social care staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Eligible patients will receive an invitation by SMS with a link to book an appointment online.
