Knowing that you are a carer can help us understand your circumstances and make sure this is recorded on your medical record.<\/p>\n<h2>Young carers<\/h2>\n<p>A young carer is a child or young person who helps to look after someone in their family who needs additional support.<\/p>\n<p>Carers\u2019 Resource provides dedicated support for young carers, including individual support, activities and opportunities to meet other young people with caring responsibilities.<\/p>\n<h2>Support for carers<\/h2>\n<p>Manor Medical Practice works with Carers\u2019 Resource<strong>,<\/strong> an independent charity providing support for unpaid carers in Bradford and the surrounding area.<\/p>\n<p>Carers\u2019 Resource can provide information, advice and practical and emotional support, including help with:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>your health and wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>benefits, grants and financial support<\/li>\n<li>carers&#8217; rights and Carer&#8217;s Assessments<\/li>\n<li>planning for emergencies<\/li>\n<li>taking a break from caring<\/li>\n<li>employment and education<\/li>\n<li>groups and activities<\/li>\n<li>Carer ID cards<\/li>\n<li>support for young carers and parent carers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can contact the Bradford Carers\u2019 Resource team directly for advice or to request support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Telephone:<\/strong> 01274 449660<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.carersresource.org\/\"><strong>Visit Carers\u2019 Resource<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Tell us that you are a carer<\/h2>\n<p>If you look after someone, please let Manor Medical Practice know so that we can record this on your patient record.<\/p>\n<p>You can speak to our reception team or mention your caring responsibilities to a member of our clinical team when you next speak to us.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you an unpaid carer?
