You will initially be booked for a telephone consultation with one of our nurses.

During this consultation, the nurse will review your destination, travel plans and vaccination history and discuss which vaccinations you may need. If you require vaccinations that we can provide through the NHS, the nurse will arrange an appointment for you to receive these at the practice.

Some vaccinations recommended specifically for travel are not available free through the NHS. If you require one of these vaccinations, you will be advised to arrange this through a private travel vaccination service.

Please contact us as early as possible before you travel, ideally at least 6 to 8 weeks before departure, as some vaccinations need to be given in advance or require a course of doses.

  </details>
<details class="nhsuk-details nhsuk-expander">

    Vaccinations for Adults

The NHS offers a number of vaccinations to adults depending on factors such as age, medical conditions, pregnancy and other risk factors.

These may include vaccinations against flu, COVID-19, shingles, pneumococcal disease and RSV, depending on your eligibility.

We will usually contact eligible patients when seasonal vaccination programmes are running or when a vaccination is due.

If you are unsure whether you are eligible for a particular vaccination, think you may have missed one, or would like us to check your vaccination record, please contact our reception team on 01274 484111.

You can also find information about NHS vaccinations and who is eligible on the NHS website:

NHS vaccinations and when to have them

  </details>
<details class="nhsuk-details nhsuk-expander">

    Weight Management

If you would like support with managing your weight, there are services available to help you make sustainable changes to your diet, physical activity and overall health.

Patients in the Bradford District can access Living Well for free information and support with healthy eating, physical activity and maintaining a healthy weight.

Weight management support – Living Well Bradford

Depending on your individual circumstances, there may also be other NHS weight management services available.
