{"id":515,"date":"2026-06-04T20:19:39","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T19:19:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surgerywebtemp.org.uk\/a85614\/?page_id=515"},"modified":"2026-06-04T20:19:39","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T19:19:39","slug":"vaccines","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/surgerywebtemp.org.uk\/a85614\/vaccines\/","title":{"rendered":"Vaccines"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Meningitis ACWY<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Young people starting university aged 25 or under<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Various sub groups of meningococcal disease can spread quickly in areas where people live closely to each other:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in university halls of residence<\/li>\n<li>in shared accommodation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you\u2019re aged 25 or under, about to start university for the first time and haven\u2019t yet had the MenACWY vaccination, you should ask your GP for the vaccine. Even if you have previously received the Men C vaccine you should still now ask for the MenACWY vaccine.<\/p>\n<p>Ideally, you should get the vaccine at least two weeks before you start university.
