{"id":470,"date":"2026-01-12T09:36:47","date_gmt":"2026-01-12T09:36:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surgerywebtemp.org.uk\/a83011\/?page_id=470"},"modified":"2026-04-22T11:34:42","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T10:34:42","slug":"veterans","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/surgerywebtemp.org.uk\/a83011\/veterans\/","title":{"rendered":"Veterans"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"42\">Veteran Friendly Accredited GP Practice<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"44\" data-end=\"287\">We are proud to be a <strong data-start=\"65\" data-end=\"108\">Veteran Friendly Accredited GP Practice and apart of the Armed Forces Covenant<\/strong>, accredited by the <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Royal College of General Practitioners<\/span><\/span> in partnership with <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">NHS England<\/span><\/span> under the Veteran Friendly GP Practice Accreditation Programme.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"289\" data-end=\"458\">This accreditation demonstrates our commitment to meeting the healthcare needs of military veterans and ensuring they receive high-quality, appropriate, and timely care.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"460\" data-end=\"487\">As part of this commitment:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"489\" data-end=\"800\">\n<li data-start=\"489\" data-end=\"617\">\n<p data-start=\"491\" data-end=\"617\">We have a named clinical lead with specialist knowledge of military-related health conditions and veteran-specific services.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"618\" data-end=\"706\">\n<p data-start=\"620\" data-end=\"706\">We recognise the potential impact of military service on physical and mental health.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"707\" data-end=\"800\">\n<p data-start=\"709\" data-end=\"800\">We support veterans in accessing dedicated NHS and charitable services where appropriate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"802\" data-end=\"1024\">If you have previously served in the UK Armed Forces, please inform the practice.
