How to get to Claypath Medical Centre

By Road:

The medical centre is located on the east side of Durham City Centre.

From the A1(M), exit at junction 62 and follow the A690 towards Durham.

At the Gilesgate roundabout take the fourth exit onto Gilesgate.  The medical centre is located on the right.  Take the first right exit and then turn first left into the practice carpark.  There are Blue Badge bays in the car park.

By Bus:

Buses No. 64 and 65 start at the Arnison Centre and go to Gilesgate.  Patients in Durham City can get on either of these buses at Stand D at the Bus Station on North Road to disembark at “The Chains” apartments.  From “The Chains” proceed up the road for approximately 100m to the medical centre which is on the same side of the road.

Bus 20A is the Sunderland to Durham bus which stops on Leazes Road.  Bus 20 is the Sunderland to Langley Park bus which also stops on Leazes Road.  Patients in Durham City can get on either of these buses at Stand L at Milburngate. When disembarking at Leazes Road go up the road to the Gilesgate roundabout and take the first exist out onto Gilesgate.  The medical centre is located on the right.

By Train:

The nearest station is Durham, which is approximately 1 mile from the health centre. There are no direct buses from the station to the medical centre.

The number 40 bus links the railway station to the bus station. Buses No. 64 and 65 link the North Road Bus Station bus station (Stand D) to the “The Chains” apartments.
