How to Order a Repeat Prescription

The practice preferred method for you to order your repeat prescription is via ‘Online Services’ you can order your repeat prescription by:

Using the ‘NHS App’ to order a Repeat Prescription:

You can login into the NHS App to order a repeat prescription

  • Log in: Open the NHS App and sign in.
  • Request a medication: Go to the ‘Request repeat prescriptions’ section.
  • Select your medicine: Tick the medication(s) you need.
  • Submit your request: This goes to your GP for review and approval.
  • Electronic prescription: Once approved, your prescription is sent electronically to the pharmacy you’ve chosen in the app.

Please allow time for the pharmacy to process and prepare your medication. It’s best to order your prescription at least five working days before you run out. You can usually only order up to seven days before your medication is due.

Or using ‘SystmOnline Patient Online Services’ to order a Repeat Prescription:

If you have a SystmOnline Patient Online Services Account you can Log in and send a request for the surgery to request  your ‘Repeat Prescription’

  • Request a medication: Go to the ‘Your Medication’ section and then ‘Request Medication’.
  • Select your medicine: Tick the medication(s) you need.
  • Submit your request: This goes to your GP for review and approval.
